Project description and responsible party

The Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK carries out its tasks to promote research ethics and research integrity, partly also through projects. TENK coordinates joint projects at national level and participates in international cooperation with other European actors.

The projects produce information related to various issues related to research ethics and integrity and develop additional guidelines to support implementation of responsible conduct of research.

Open science and research monitoring results for 2024 show that two-thirds of the universities, nearly half of the universities of applied sciences, and two research institutes reached the highest level of openness. 

Monitoring for 2024 is more comprehensive than the first monitoring carried out in 2022. The results of individual questions are comparable across years, but comparisons of degrees and levels of openness must take into account changes in approach.
